Alexander L. Lapinski is a graduate of Columbia University and Brooklyn Law School, where he earned his Bachelor's and Juris Doctor degrees, respectively. Even though he acquired his higher education in the United States, he has immigrant roots. He was born and raised in Poland, and he came to this country as a political refugee in 1987.
Although initially Mr. Lapinski had practiced family law and commercial litigation, he always felt passionate about immigration law. He first created an immigration section in a Raleigh law firm, and then he decided to open his own immigration practice in Durham.
Mr. Lapinski is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and he actively cooperates with El Centro Hispano in Durham.
